"$$ can't buy happiness" that's bullshit

people say "money cannot buy happiness", who can really prove this phrase to be true?

after a few weeks of having tight budget, i disappointedly realized that the majority of my happiness is developed through spending. whenever i am loaded, even though i'd be doing something as simple as sitting on couch and watch tv (kung fu of course), or playing street fighters on ps2, pete and i would look each other in the eyes thinking that we must be the luckiest young people in the world having all the freedom and lavishness of time and enjoyment. but if without money, although we could still engage in same kinda activities as usual, but just that nothing is right anymore, like being handcuffed.

don't tell me that happiness built on money is not real happiness. don't you be so naive thinking that there is "prolonged happiness" on earth. what's "true" happiness and what's "shallow" happiness? happiness is happiness alright??
